USPS tracking confirms delivery though buyer denies having received the shoes

I recently sold a rare pair of Nike Kobe Bryant basketball shoes to a buyer. The shoes were shipped the next day and delivered 3 days later to the buyer. They were sent by USPS with a tracking number and were confirmed delivered by the post office. 3 days after the confirmed delivery, the buyer is now saying they didn't receive the shoes. What happens next?

Did the buyer open a "not received" case? If so, you should receive a message from eBay. Enter the tracking number in the space provided in response to that message.

If you have the tracking no and the confirmation they were delivered you should be ok.

However, watch out for CC charge backs.

Can you call the post office that handled the delivery?  Ask for the postmaster and share the tracking.  Have them research if regular route carrier or sub date of delivery.  Ask them to speak with their route carrier and research this missing parcel.

Good luck!

The buyer will need to fill out an INR and you will need to respond to the case with the tracking number.  Most of the time Ebay will back up the seller if USPS tracking shows delivered.  As a previous poster noted, you may still get a chargeback and the banks will not often back up the seller.

Don't sneakers go through an authentication center or something before being delivered to a buyer?

The O.P. is not giving the complete story.

They sell shoes and they are not cheap, so not sure what the issue is.

If they somehow sold avoiding authentication, that is their fault.

Also looks like they did not ship with signature required.
