It was a hot summer full of exams on my first year in university... 😺
I was curious what is this "ebay" thing and many shopping trips later, here we are
I started selling as a hobby 4 years ago and loving that too
How long are you here? how did you start?
Have a great and cool summer

Amazon.
(It's okay to refer to Amazon on the discussion boards.)

First registered 11/02/1998, so heading toward 23 years in November. Looks like I'm the oldie in the bunch so far . . .
I inherited a small pincushion collection from my grandmother and registered with eBay to see if I could add to it.

An 'oldie' but a 'goodie', isn't that the saying ?

14 years: In 2007 we created our first eBay account to buy things for our kids. In 2015, when an Uncle passed away unexpectedly, I helped my Father liquidate part of the Estate by starting to Sell on eBay, 3 garage bays full of unique vintage, antique collectibles ... from that experience I started to dabble in buying and reselling to develop internet sales as an additional cash stream ... eBay is not the only place we have sold things.

I started in 1999 after asking a guy where he sold the massive amounts of baseball cards he bought from me.
He said, have you ever heard of eBay. Went to his house for dinner and he showed me the ropes. Next day bought a computer. A week later, my 1st sale. No joke! No experience.
The 1st years on eBay I sold 95+% of the items I listed. Now, well that's a different thread.

What a great/neat story!!
A computer in 1999 was quite the investment! Congrats on 22 years. Would like to think there are still folks who help one another get started.
We would have never branched out if not for a large PS on here who walked us thru expanding to other sites. Forever grateful. Thank goodness you asked that guy!

I started buying here in 1998 and started selling in 2000.

oh no,
I'm jealous I haven't started before I did

I started here under another ID in 2000 - I'd been selling on two other sites before then since 1998 or so. I had a vintage hat business then.

Hmmmm I started buying way back in 2009 on a different acct. Then in 2014 started selling and then buying and then selling, buying, selling. Yup that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
And you have a great summer as well!

I started in 2006 or 7, not sure, but it was under a different name. I was predominantly selling books. Most of them were children's books.
Quit and was sorry that I closed my account.
Started again under this name and had to stop selling due to health issues.
Now I am just trying to help as much as I can here, and trying to stay connected.
With Kindness,
Grandma
