Selling US Stamps Mint & Cancelled Condition!!

Hi, I am looking for some advice on the best way to sell a Huge collection of US Postage Stamps my Grand Father & Father had collected for many years, I have done some basic searches for some and can't believe some of the prices some are getting either as buy it now & auction. #1 question would it be better to sell the complete album of stamps or break them down to sell them in single listings. I have been a seller for over 20+ years of Military Surplus but this area/type of item is all new to me, so if anyone that know about US Postage stamps please give me some advice and point me in the right direction!! Thanks in advance!!

I'm no expert in stamps, but it seems to me that...

*Sell them all in one lot = less hassle = less money.

*Sell them all individually = more hassle = more money.

You have to decide which is right for you.

Good luck and stay safe!

Anything older than 1880 look them up on ebay and compare the stamps to those of the same stamp already listed. You could then see if you have any of the more pricey stamps. Only certain ones post 1900 are pricey like the inverted Jenny. You might have the Zeppelin stamps some of those are valuable. Unless there is really old 19th century stamps save yourself time and sell them by albums. Only break down any earlier 1800s ones that you see on ebay that have good  selling value. Stamps can be tricky you need to be able to spot the valuable ones among the common one. If you have post world war two most are likely to be common so not worth breaking them down. Throw up some pics of the older ones there are other stamp sellers in this community who know the valuable ones.
