Up until a few days ago Ebay was a great partner in removing unwarranted negative feedback. I never had to use any curtessy removals. Now when an ad specifically states an issue and shows an issue, the buyer can still leave negative feedback for exactly what the ad states. Opinion that goes directly against fact is defamitory and a lie. Ebay needs to go back to helping its sellers. We have been 100% Ebay sellers until now,

@oemspecialists wrote:Ebay will not remove any feedback now for obvious buyer mistakes or lies. Feedback has nothing to do with reality. It has to do with feelings and buyers not taking any resposibility for their actions. You can put full descriptions and multiple pics in your ad. If the buyer never looks or reads the ad even with automatic returns, it is always the sellers problem.
I understand you have had some issues with your feedback and that Ebay has declined to remove any of it. That doesn't mean the won't remove any FB. I am sorry we couldn't be of any help to you here getting Ebay to better understand your position.

Not true. I have negative feedback from a buyer who used a 3rd party shipper that I offered a full refund for. Instead of opening the return they just left negative feedback and was never heard from again. Ebay would not remove said feedback because as the manager stated "If its the buyers opinion then it doesnt break any rules. I think my feedback for every purchase going forward will be negative with the comment. Buying on this platform sucks. I think it qualifies as an opinion.

What I said was and is true. Your situation is different than the one I was commenting. Your buyer did not open a dispute.

ebay shouldn't be handing out sellers private phone numbers
12-20-2023 01:36 PM
cause there are some crazy buyers out there.
12-20-2023 01:41 PM
we work very hard to keep our feedback 100%
it isn't right that crazy buyers can ruin it

and yet they do.

uh no, actually, if you have described the item accurately, the buyer didn't bother reading the description, that's on the buyer, not the seller. all a seller can do is include good photos and an accurate description. the rest is on the buyer.

So you are ok with buyers leaving provable lies/defamatory statements on your selling account? You don't think ebay should remove provable lies from the buyer against a sellers account? This is way beyond "what the buyer feels/opinions".
The very thing you think is ok for a buyer to leave, is also the very reason stated why sellers cannot leave neutrals or negatives anymore. Oh, the seller could smear the buyer. Oh, the seller could lie about the buyer. But you are supportive of buyers leaving lies that can be shown to be lies, for sellers, and you're fine ebay supports buyer lies. Somehow blatant provable lies are not a violation of ebay policy. Lying is totally fine if you're a buyer. You think so. Ebay thinks so.
I think they need to add this to their formal feedback removal policy.

I see 2 negatives and one neutral on your account. I didn't notice anything in any of them that breaks one of the Ebay rules for feedback which would be why you have been unable to get them removed.
I would say though that your responses are likely more harmful than the FB the buyer left. It is harsh and rough around the edges. That is not a good idea for a seller to do, no matter how upset the buyer makes you. It is a bad look to other potential buyers.
In that one you commented in about the moss not having roots, that comment came from you, not what the buyer posted in the FB, maybe they said it to you in an email.

That isn't at all what I said. It was a short post, I'm not at all sure how you took that away from it.

Ebay no longer cares about sellers. We are the ones that pay millions in seller fees and now they will let a buyer blast your company when the error is clearly the buyers mistake. We call daily about nasty feedback that has nothing to do with us, and since the removal process has disappeared, these nasty buyers get to run wild. It doesn't even matter if it is in your item specifics about a product, ebay no longer cares. As long and it is not vulgar language or a threat, that feedback stays.
Thanks for nothing ebay. Glad you enjoy our money.
