If an agreement on a refund or return has been reached in communication through the eBay text streams and then the buyer renegs on their end of the deal, will eBay find that to be a verbal contact since it is 100% verifiable by then? The buyer pushed me to send them a label for one purchase and agreed to keep the rest. Then once we did exactly what they wanted by issuing the return and sending a shipping label. Then they requested refunds or returns on the rest once we issued the return as we agreed to do. Thank you so much for any help.

It doesn't matter what is said through messages, what matters is if the buyer starts a return through Ebay.

"verbal contact"...emails....and who do you think would read them?
Communication between seller and buyer if both are honest will work out.
Sounds like buyer knew what they were doing.
I would do refunds or returns on the rest.

Unfortunately, we are feeling at this point like they did know what they were doing. After looking at their store and nothing is cheap, we think it's a very real possibility that they purchased our junk and costume jewelry lots in search or REAL jewelry because of all the gold colored chains and stated gold plated rings. They even had us count out the gold filled rings (we found 9 verifiable). They said the jewelry was all "worthless"
Well, of course, it was listed as junk and costume jewelry. A very large portion was completely unsearched and that was stated. We now think they might have been just looking for real gold in the lots.
We sincerely appreciate your help. Thank you for the input.
Oh, and they cut off communication after requesting the additional refunds or returns they agreed not to do. We also messed up and told them that we really couldn't afford even the return shipping and agreed to let them keep everything instead of them requesting further returns or refunds. We upheld our end and they promptly did exactly what they said the were not going to do if we did what she said.

And by the way...."costume" jewelry can be worth a lot of money.
It doesn't have to be silver or gold or real stones.
