ITEM SOLD EMAILS FROM EBAY STARTED COMING IN DUPLICATE THIS WEEK

This issue started this week and is continuing  as of today. When an item is sold Ebay has been sending duplicate item sold emails. Both emails are sent at the same time stamp.

It becomes confusing and it is unclear if this is a change, or a technical issue.  Is there a useful purpose for this?

I started this in the Experienced Seller board since I thought it may stop after a day or so, but several sellers are having the same experience.

I've started getting 2 emails too, the first one says:

'Congratulations, your item sold and has been paid for.'

About 5 minutes later I get a second one saying:

'Great news, your item has sold and the buyer has paid.'

Very irritating. I've tried turning notifications off and on but it makes no difference

Yes, it just started happening here are well.  One in a larger font than the other, both with the exact same timestamp.   Just be glad it isn't like previous glitches where you randomly stopped receiving the sold notice at all.
