Anyone packing some hot eye candy? Keep the pictures smaller to speed loading, and as always no live auctions. I just got a new computer and don't have my old photos installed yet, so here's something I bought today (lousy shot). Four bird pins, a Liztech watch, and a Wallace Christmas ornament. For whatever reason, I can't find a way to resize the older shots with the new software. It's brain-damaged, so until I feel like messing with Paint or my camera settings this one will have to do.

I think wanna-bes. They're too shiny for the real thing odds are, and they're unsigned. The hardware is too new too.
Check the pinbacks - if they are screwed on, they would not be Takahashi.
Shiny does not discount them - the one I had was very shiny!
Siggie - not always signed

Evelyb30 - why don't you start a thread with your birds?
The second one from the right sure looks like the real deal Scarlet Tanager on page 124 of my book. Says it's 1 3/4 x 1 inches, 1950's - 1980's, pin back attached with push pins, and unmarked!
(and I need to leave here soon for the rest of the evening, but will come back to study your birds some more)
VERY EXCITING!

Oh, before I go, I should have added the reference info and price:
"Scarlet tanagers with this body shape were produced for many years $75.00 - $150"
book published 2011

Your picture came out nice and it's a good size, ev. Hope you luck out with your birds ! I'm not much of a bead person, but these were priced right so why knot (get it? Knot? OK, I'll keep my day job. Ha!).
These are so cobalt blue they hurt your eyes!:
Love the pink and gray color combo:
Long black flapper beads:

More beads. AB and black long strand:
Interesting molded acrylic flower necklace. Very long:
Flapper length Art Deco black and white glass beads. I'll get around to re-stringing them never!

LOVE those birdies
Three sash pins, the first is missing its faux tongues but it is made by Bliss, a great maker, so I had to pick it up:

Marie, you have shown us so many beautiful sash pins; do you wear them, or just collect them? I assume if wearing them, would be as brooches, right? How many do you have?
