Olympic Gold Medal Eye Candy Wednesday

Hey, a girl can dream, right?  I did just score some solid bronze bookends for under the price of the bronze, but medals they ain't.  Post some fancy scrap metal if you've got some!  Keep the images smaller to speed loading and as usual no live auction stuff.

First one - some hot pink glass beads.  The second is a recently shipped Oddfellows "jewel", a Rebekahs medal.  The third one is a stone and sterling Art Deco necklace with decorated chain.  It's probably staying in my hoard.

Hallmarked sterling. No rhodium I could detect.

Re: Olympic Gold Medal Eye Candy Wednesday

Here are some winners that sprinted out the door recently.

I called it an ornament

but the buyer said she thought it looked more like an Easter Egg ... she loved it anyway.

They may not have brought home the gold ... but the green they brought home made them a winners in my eyes!

Pretty clasp on that pink necklace, ev.

I like the shapes of the red beads in that necklace, Sandy.

I think mermaid will approve, OCN 😉

Here are a few of my gold(tone) medals that sold a while back.

This moonstone and unmarked silver linked bracelet feels like a winner to me!

I bought it this morning and I really like it a lot. The silver tests as sterling.

Re: Olympic Gold Medal Eye Candy Wednesday

Thanks Diane, OCN, Ruth and Dream.  Ruth, you're right, that bracelet is going to stay in my stash!

So today I walked to the grocery store. It's recycling day here, and outside one of the houses just up the road from us was a bunch of stuff in boxes along with a sign saying "free, please help yourself!"

My eye spied this box, which gives blue box collection day a whole new meaning!

Hello blue box!Hello blue box!

It contained this blue greenish Bakelite necklace which is unlike any Bakelite I have seen but definitely tests.

What a nice surprise!

I also got two new,  sealed 50 ml  jars of Vichy Aqualia Thermal  hydrating cream which expire in Nov 2021.  I can put these to use for sure!

I feel like I won a gold medal I'm so tickled!!
