Is there a name for this type of necklace?

Hi, I am getting ready to list this gold and amethyst necklace and am wondering if there is a name for this style. The stones are bezel set, open backed. The "chain" is stiff and in the scalloped shape.

Would I just call this a choker or collar necklace?

What a lovely necklace Marie.  The design is so feminine!

Using Sandy`s Necklace Style chart..

Choker  14-16"

Princess 16-20"

Matinee  20-26"

You could also use the term Station

Oh thanks Sarah.

Yes it is sweet, but my 66 year old neck doesn’t do it justice so I’m selling it 😉

Marie, when you get ready to list be sure to put your items in the Coming Attractions thread.  There are lots of people that look that thread over for items to buy.

I know I am very late but is it possible that this is an (elongated) Riviere style necklace?
