Are these Uggs real or fake?

I'm supposed to be selling these for a friend of mine who is going through her stuff. I started listing one item then began looking more closely at pictures. The boots she gave me don't seem to match up with the other Ugg boots. Can someone let me know if these boots are real or fake? I'm not trying to list some fake merchandise.

Those are fakes. There are many signs but the label on the back of the heel is enough to confirm it.

Re: Are these Uggs real or fake?

The logo on the soles looks wrong ... first, I do not see a Circle-R (registered trademark) symbol beside the logo, and second, the starburst pattern around the logo does not look even.

Re: Are these Uggs real or fake?

The only thing I see on the soles is UGG seems to be too large and indented (size of letter font or whatever).  I have authentic ones with no ® on the sole.

Those are darn good fakes, if fake.   The correct fabric is used for the heel labels which is usually not done in fakes.

I also have blue ones that do not have a blue back label; it is the same color as the one above on the blue boots.

Disclaimer:  By no means an UGG expert; just own several (definitely authentic) pairs.

Re: Are these Uggs real or fake?

OP, unless your friend bought it at an auhorized dealer and you have paperwork from there, then anyone can scream fake.

That is why real or not (and my girls have a lot of these uggs, and they do not look real to me either) I would not list anything designer here without proof that they are legitimate.

Re: Are these Uggs real or fake?

I didn't want to do laundry or unload the dishwasher so I checked one pair.   The Bailey Bow boots are fake.

I can stall no longer...must get up out of this chair now and do at least one productive thing today.

Re: Are these Uggs real or fake?

Thank you guys for your help. I used to manage a Goodwill store and we had a lot of nice things such as this come in, I've come across real Uggs before. These ones just looked off, especially the "Ugg" indent on the bottom of the shoes, and some of the stitching seems to be slightly different than what is pictured on other Uggs with the same S/N. I asked my girlfriend if she had a receipt or papers or if she could remember where they were purchased, she doesn't have anything and can't recall where she bought them.

Am I to gather the general consensus is that these are not real, and should not be sold on here? I'm still working on building my business and I don't want to sell or do anything that will get me removed. I plan on selling more for my friend, as she's cleaning out her house and the whole eBay selling process is a little overwhelming for her.

Am I together the general consensus is that these are not in fact real, and should not be sold on here?

No, you can't sell them on ebay if they are fake.

Re: Are these Uggs real or fake?

She can't recall where she bought them? I would think long and hard before considering listing any designer goods from this friend.

I've bought probably 10 pairs of UGG somethings and I remember where I've bought them all. I definitely remember buying them from specific stores, even if I couldn't for sure tell you which ones came from where.

Not sure what to tell you, she's a senior and has purchased many things over the years.

Does she shop much at yard sales/flea markets?  That would make it easy to not remember where and probably doesn't want to say yard sale/flea market.

Yes, they are fake. No, they should not be listed.

The logo is all wrong, the tags on the back are wrong, the slope is wrong, the stitching is off, the soles are wrong, the lining doesn't stick out of the top as much as real Uggs, and for that matter the lining looks synthetic - though that could just be the lighting in your photos.

Unless your friend will wear the boots herself, consider contacting Ugg and asking about proper disposal process. The last thing you want to do is donate them and put these fakes back out into the marketplace.

Are you giving your friend profits from all of the items you're selling for her? Do you have an agreement in place on who is financially responsible in the event that somebody claims not as described or files a credit card chargeback six months after the sale?

It's great that you want to help your friend, but make sure you protect yourself and your account first and foremost. You can't help anybody if your account is put in jeopardy.
