Seeking info on 2 dolls I purchased at a flea market? Simon & Halbig and Armand Marseille

I bought these two dolls at a market for $20 and thought it was a steal!! I am trying to seek relevant information on them in order to better understand what I have...

The first one is what I believe to be a Simon and Halbig bisque doll. I am confused because it has a Handwerck body? I also can't pull the wig up enough to reveal the mold number.  Overall nice condition except for the dress which looks like it is disintegrating! I was thinking this is from around 1900? Can anyone tell me anything else?

The second one is an Armand Marseille in rougher condition with damage to the face. The dress is beautiful and vibrant with some small holes. The limbs have darkened. The dress seems to be attached to the doll body and I can remove it? Possibly early 1900s? I can't find this doll specifically online anywhere with the model 995 4/0? Any info?

Re: Seeking info on 2 dolls I purchased at a flea market? Simon & Halbig and Armand Marseille

Simon and Halbig provided doll heads to a number of other companies, including Handwerck. So it's not unusual at all to find S and H heads on other bodies. I think the doll probably dates from 1890-1900. If you can work the wig off and remove the pate, you can reinforce the eye mounts, which appear to be coming loose. If you plan the sell the doll you'll need to remove the pate to stuff the head to ensure the eye counterweights don't break the head.

On the AM doll, the head mold is 995. The 4/0 refers to size. I think it's one of AM's most charming head molds. Neither doll is super valuable but certainly worth way more than the $20 you paid!
