Anyone have an idea on this artist?

Very unique vintage lamp. My mother purchased it at the Museum of modern Art in San Jose many years ago ( 70’-80’s). She would like to sell now. She loves it but it's just such a massive lamp. I'm going to say it's about 2 feet at its widest point. ...

Edo/Meiji tortoise lacquer box, nice

About 3" x 4" with much wear. Is there a proper name for the form of this lidded box? I see an abstracted tortoise form. Lacquer on wood I believe. Was it for a certain, specific use? Pics are enhanced a bit. Thanks.Thank you for your input.

Thoughts on painting

Can anyone tell me anything about this painting on canvas panel of a ship. It is signed- looks like E M Skiff or Skipp? I can see brush strokes so think it is a painting.

Resolved! Please help identify this lovely lady

She stands about 9 & 5/8" tall and is hollow with an open bottom, I believe she's made from ceramic. My eyes are telling me the mark on the bottom says The Inman's 1976 but it's faint and I'm not 100% certain of this. Thanks in advance.

Hello, a question about a moulded contour bottle Rd No 277776 with Fouled Anchor trademark

It could be ten years since I participated in the US collectables chat boards. Anyway, I am trying to find out if this bottle is American. If it is British, the registration number dates to the early 1880s. The "Fouled Anchor" is an old heraldic devi...

Help identifying an unusual lapel pin…

I’m trying to identify this lapel pin. From my fairly extensive experience as a vintage pin collector, I am stumped (and I’m rarely stumped).Features of the pin - it’s construction style, wear, and metal indicate that it is probably at least 100 year...
