Your photographs are out of focus so it's difficult to evaluate your object. What I can see is that it's a mass-produced nativity scene from Italy where objects such as yours are displayed at Christmas time instead of Christmas trees. They don't change much over the years but, given the plywood backing, sure to be postWorld War II. Posting an in-focus close up of the "man's face," might help someone identify maker.
