Origin Of Pair Of Hand Painted Round Lidded Boxes

Hi, can anyone identify origin of these hand painted enamel and lacquer  wood lidded boxes? Each are painted with same characters and decoration. I am not sure if it is Asian, or perhaps Middle Eastern. There are what appears to be monkeys and figures on horseback. There is no signature marks or text on them.  They measure 4 1/2" tall and 3" in diameter.  Thanks in advance for any help.

You might look under Burma/Thailand/betel boxes as a starting point. Yours appears somewhat recent.

I have no idea but it's faster and easier if you add your pictures from the top picture link-the camera icon

This is one of them. The inner sleeve is also painted in similar fashion.

Link rendered useless because the bots *bleeped* some portion of it.  Good grief, what next?

Yes, the British Museum is well known for their *bleeping* up a blue streak! I think the OP did a workaround as I got credited with a solve!
