Need info and translation for this Asian painting.

Image size is 6 3/4", frame is 12". Need country of origin, age, and translation of the characters. It appears to be unfinished, there is an outline of a wall and post in white beneath the image of the lady. It is painted on silk or other fabric and the mat is silk or other fabric. Not 'unfinished' - the lower part of the woman is obscured by the wall.

It looks just like a few Chinese silk paintings I've had. It's nicely done, if small. Perhaps @argon38  can help with the chop and text.
