My husband has two pipes that he bought but never smoked - just "chewed" on them. One is marked Italy and the other American 6-92/MT. The second I think is the American Smoking Pipe Co. but not sure. Does anyone recognize these two pipes as to maker and the type of wood? Any help would be so appreciated!!!

Hi, Yes, you have the right maker for the American: https://pipedia.org/wiki/American_Smoking_Pipe_Co.
Those are made of briar. There are a LOT of Italian makers so many possibilities if there are no other markings on that one. Cheers, Michael

Michael - thank you so much for letting me know and that they are briar (I did not know that). I couldn't find any other markings on the other pipe marked Italy. I appreciate your help so much!!!! Mary
