I know it's probably going to be impossible, but any thoughts on what this artist signature might be?
Bronze figure appears to date from the late-19th to early-20th C.
I was able to ID the words: Bronze Barbara Sherk (most likely the sitter/model) and what appears to be 'EDY(?)' at the end of the first word (most likely the artist/maker's signature).
Size approx: 12 in.

Have you had a look at the label under UV light? It's worth a try.

i use old photo filters: some times it helps.
Also pay with a digital photo editor can some time bring such out..

Those flashlights aren't really quality; Photoshop used to have an "Elements" version with many filters for cheap/ Even today you can get a monthly plan for $10 -

Sorry I can't help more but I don't think the letters at the end of the first line are EDY.
