Cast Iron Bottle Opener Info?

Hello, 

I just purchased this bottle opener, and I cannot figure out what the bottom part is for. Some kind of opener? The top definitely opens bottles. The piece is cast iron (I believe- magnetic, heavy, rough surface) and 8 1/2" long. There are no marks. Does anyone have information about it? Anything would be helpful.

@rosiesringsandthings  It was probably used to open old large cans like Paint cans or Oyster cans, food cans, etc.
