(Note by author: A District was similar to a 'Municipality' governed by District politicians. Then there were the actual Cities, and Komotau and Gorkau are examples of cities. An example could be City of Los Angeles located in the County of Los Angeles. A close similarity perhaps?)
Komotau City is located on the River Komotau, about 314 miles East of Stadt Landau in der Pfalz.
