I purchased a collectors watch on March 22, 2024 and applied a significant enticement coupon offered by Ebay. The coupon, WATCHTENOFF, with a limit of $1300 failed to activate, and the purchase was put through without deducting the amount on the coupon. Over the next 2 days I called Ebay several times, spoke with several representatives and two supervisors only to be told that the seller should contact them directly. That being said, the Ebay supervisors said that due to some "legal" matter they could not contact the seller and include their coupon in the sale. The seller, I believe tried to make contact, to no avail. I wrote registered letters to the president and vice president of Ebay almost two weeks ago and have not had a response as of yet. One of the representatives informed me that Ebay was "just" a platform and could do nothing about my issue. Is this what to now expect from Ebay? I truly hope not!
