Hi, I received a message from another Ebay member asking if I would sell an item lower than what I had it listed for. The member claimed that $40 was all they could afford to pay and expressed that they "really could use" the item, while thanking me in advance. My instincts immediately kicked in an led me to investigate. Not only was this person also a seller and could afford the price I had the item listed for, but they had also SOLD the exact same item for $25 more than what I was asking, two days before they contacted me. Buying cheap and making a profit is one thing; but playing on the sympathies of other sellers is another. This corrupts the integrity of the community and I feel violators should be reprimanded.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? How should I go about reporting this? Thanks!
