A seller is not supposed to downgrade the shipping method. They are free
to upgrade, which I do at times (and usually no one ever stops to say
thank you). So these sellers did you wrong in charging you priority and
shipping by slower and cheaper meth...
What I meant by writing them was to explain how the unpaid item process
works. Sometimes that will alleviate any tension as some buyers are
unaware that this will not hurt their ebay account at all unless they do
not pay.
They may or may not leave negative FB. If they do, it really isn't a big
deal anymore as to your standing with ebay. You are no longer rated on
your FB score. Just leave a factual non-retalitory reply about what
happened. "Buyer became upset when an ...
Without addressing how/why all this happened, how did you pay? If you
paid via credit card, I would open a case with them. Always pay via a
credit card as they will step in when ebay/PPal fail you.
I would not offer them the $150, nor would I say much of anything in a
reply other than, "Please return for a refund." It sounds like they are
just trying to get it cheaper. They may not go through with returning it
and until an official return case ...
