I have a large soup ladle I recently purchased from a local estate
auction, and it has four hallmarks I could not identify. The marks show
a fleur-de-lis, a man in a gondola, a capital D and a S. Any ideas ?

Okay, that makes perfect sense to me now. I was not able to read that
word before the Degas name to denote the piece was " in the style of ".
