Energizer or Renata which battery is best?

I have noticed after Energizer combined some of their batteries like 376 and 377 to make just one that works for either. I am getting alot more watches that the battery is not lasting a complete year. Is this because of the combined battery or just run of watches with problems draining the battery? Is there such a thing as a 5 year battery? Had a couple of customers ask.

Thanks for any input, Jesse

hard question. I personally prefer Renata, but that might be a local preference. Energizer is sold in every supermarket.
give you the link to a list, perhaps you could try other brands as well.

Maybe your customers are thinking of a Lithium battery? Of
course that wouldn't work in a watch that takes a silver oxide,
but most of the customers don't know that. They just know
their friend down the street who has a Timex gets 5 years out
of their batteries.

Check the dates on your 376/377s, maybe you got an old batch.

Is there a date on the battery, or is it only on the package?

I can't help noticing that when I finally have to replace an OEM battery on one of my watches, it's a Renata that's coming out, but the Energizer that goes in doesn't seem to last more than a year or so.
