Park Storyk sweater questions

Hi, found this beautiful 50/60's era sweater and have a few questions....

Is this more 50's than 60's?

Is there a better decriptive phrase besides lace overlay?

The overlay is scratchy of course, but the underside is oh so soft! Appreciate any info you can share with me!!!!

Re: Park Storyk sweater questions

Hello,  I am the daughter and grand daughter of Park Storyk.  My grandfather was the designer, to answer your question to the best of my ability, I would agree with the term 'Lace overlay'  I would say this sweater is from the early 60's.  I remember the material well.  I am glad you are enjoying the sweater.  It gives me great pleasure to still see them circulating after all these years.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Storyk

Re: Park Storyk sweater questions

I found the exact same sweater at a local thrift shop. In my description I also described it as a " Lace Overlay" 😀

Re: Park Storyk sweater questions

Carolyn

my father albert Cannuscio was partner with Fred Torretta at the torretta knitwear factory in Annville Pennsylvania. As i understand they fabricated the complete park storyk sweater line. Do you have any recollection or history that you can share.
