The search engine was working just fine until today. Before it would display listings with search words in the TITLE ONLY. Now it's displaying thousands of unwanted listings with search words in the title OR description text, no matter how insignificant. Anyone else having this problem???

I have the same issue - all of my saved searches are listing thousands of items (when yesterday most of them had 50-100 results each), only a few of which are actually related to my search criteria.

Ebay does maintenance on Thurs nite/Fri. morning......and everything goes wonky..........try today and see if it works.....

Same here. All of my saved searches are now listing dozens to hundreds of unrelated items, making the search option completely useless.

Same here as of this posting time.

This search:

Ultrasonic (Cleaner, Clean, Sanitze, Sanitzer)

Seems to return EVERYTHING other than what it is meant to.

Like what is in parenthesis is being filtered out.

I have the same problem. But...

I tried on a coleagues PC and everything worked as normal.

So, it's wierder than it might seem.

Furthemore, search works as-expected in an incognito window.

Mine is the same.I put in what I'm searching for and along with the usual results I get about 10,000 other things that are totally irrevelent.Sort it Out

Yep same issue, really really annoying, and likely to reduce sales. You can't find my items anywhere its mixed amongst all sorts of irrelevant stuff

Once again eBay is trying to fix something that isn't broken. The "newish" no-wild-card search anyway. Unless they're re-implementing the wild-card search but that doesn't seem the case much as I wish it were.

PS- As an IT guy I have to say I'd be fired on the spot for rolling out untested software.

This is really annoying and I'm not bothering to search at all. I don't have time to sort through a thousand extra listings to find what I care about.
