Anyone know what kind of fishing lure / hook this is?

Not sure of what the heck this thing is!  Spring loaded to open with pressure to sides, any info would be appreciated, does it have any collectible value?  Thanks!

It might be a spring loaded Pan/Ice fishing hook. I would bring it to a Bait & Tackle shop in your city and see what they say about it. Good luck.

after a little thought appears likely is a STEEL TRAP FOR FISH-bait put on center hook,wheh fish pulls on bait/hook it TRIPS trap,side hooks closes in on head of fish

It appears like when the fish bites on the hook, the hooks on the outside close in on its gills to help in catching and landing the fish
