Could be a aircraft model, definitely looks like a mounted unit fer alotta noise.

Emile Berliner designed an owned sum Mic patents an later got into buildin airplanes.

Kinda looks WWI era which would fit for his time period.

Might check those numbers fer patents or post em.

Just a ponderin opinion
