8-sided covered casserole/tureen

This post has been reposted here from another board.  Trying to identify this mark.  Have been told it could be McCoy or Sutton made by McCoy.  It has been in the family for several generations.  We were always told it was very old.  The piece has lots of crazing on the inside.

Can't help ID but I think it is a covered caserole. I would expect a tureen to have a ladel and a cutout in the top, but I amy be wrong about that. Wait for others to chime in

I agree, just can't come up with the maker.

Looks like it says Sutton to me.
