I totally agree - there should be some recourse for sellers.

ebay is done
they will be gone by this time next year

Nothing happened just this thas all. : )
Ebay has too much control and less for seller and buyer..
When there are some disputes they tell you to try to deal with buyer/seller on your own and the resolution center's
decision is not always accurate. Real great protection there.. Not nearly enough for all the fees
It blocks communicating with people with the words "email @ .com". Basically what you can write is limited to what
the bay wants.
Forces you to use paypal and no other methods. CHARGES final value fee regardless if buyer sends payment or not (IT SHOULD NOT CHARGE UNTIL BUYER PAYS).. and you have to fight through resolution center to get them refunded if buyer doesnt pay. Too much hassle Everything has to go through the ebay system.
Fees too high ebay 10% + paypal 2% + ebays shipping fee % (plus taxes at end of year) thats 4 FEES your paying.
If you have a store its no more than 9% + you pay 15.95 a month for the year (that means you have to catch up for at least 1 15.95 payment per month assuming you get 1 sale for that month). If you cancel the store you pay $50. So the bay wins either way. Just fees back and forth
Not many discounts given, even the one on the forced returns. The 100-500 5 day free auctions promotions it gives here and there are useless, its impossible to even list to this number considering how long it takes.
Promotions given are too short and or impossible to fulfill. Maybe 500 free auctions for a whole month with buy it nows if your lucky.
Buy it nows forced to 30% of something instead of 10%
Sellers can't leave neg feedback: thats another story on its own.
Buyers fees of global shipping are hidden! Buyer has to go the process of contacting the bay to get their rest of the sum back on a turn around.
Finally for all the work your putting: It takes: 8 minutes to list something average Ive timed it.
The value in conclusion I decided after these factors that its not worth my time

The most likely thing is human greed. Ebay bosses decide they want more of the pie.
Other thing could be US recession. People are not spending so much anymore and saving cash.
Lastly, people are too busy looking at porn.
Maybe a combination of those things

it's not Ebay fault sales are slow. it's becasue of Obamacare. Many people are getting their hours cut or are being layed off.
I did an estate sale last week and had only one person waiting when I drive up and only sold $100 for the day. Three years ago when I started doing estate sales I had 30 people waiting for me whan I drove up. My Antique faore sales are 50% of waht they were last year.
Peopel are not buying becasue their cost of living has gone up and they wages have gone down.

Well just maybe folks that are uninsured need afordable health care....more than they need a $200 watch, or old pair of shoes...or a hummel figure !

I realize this post is a month old, but if you use unpaid item assistant, you don't get charged final value fees and you don't have to fight through the resolution center. It's all automated. I have mine set so buyer needs to pay within 2 days. On day 4 if they haven't paid, I get the FVF credit.
ebay sends the invoice, the nasty note that they need to pay, opens the unpaid item case, and closes the case in the seller's favor.

It seems that they only care about the buyers, so what happens when there are no more sellers? I found an interesting link from an EBAY executive at a site that ebay will not let me post here (every time I try it gets flagged back to me. So if you take the time to read this and want some interesting reading you might try going to EBAY, then SUCKS then put a dot after those two words, and end it with a COM
