Reporting a Buyer Scam

We were almost scammed by a very clever buyer. They asked to purchase our car outside of Ebay which we refused. When the listing ended he asked again, we thought it would be okay since the listing ended. He pushed hard to get our PayPal email, and when finally did, he text us to say that he made the payment for the car in full including an "extra" $1,500.00 to transport the car from NJ to NYC. The email PayPal "instant payment' email instructions we recieved looked very legit. All PayPal logo's, footer legalese, etc. was all very convincing. We new it was a fraud when the instructions noted that we had to send the 1,500.00 to the transport company via Western Union. Our research proved that no such transportation company existed. We also found many typo's within the fake Paypal email.

We reported this guy and fake emails to Paypay but want to report to Ebay because he/she is still an active Ebay user.

Here are his profile details, sellers beware!

Does anyone know how we can report this? When I go to "report a buyer" Ebay requires an item code for what you sold. Our item was not sold and the listing item isn't accepted.

Reporting a Buyer Scam

Those aren't "his" profile details...they're the details of the person's account whom he likely hijacked.....

They wouldn't use their own account...if they did, they'd get caught real fast!

Very common scam. The fact that HE wanted to do it outside of Ebay is the big tip-off. There would be no advantage to a BUYER doing a transaction outside of Ebay.....
