VietNam conversation has always been a hard subect for me too discuss with a non-vet person cause I felt like I was looking for pitty on myself. When ever I encounter another Nam Vet, I can open up to him or her without feeling any guilt or regrets. It makes me happy to hear & reading alot more VietNam vets opening up about their experences and where & when they were in country.Brothers in Arms we have come a long way since we were combat soldiers. I know when we came home on our freedom birds, we weren't welcomed with parades, but our families did greet us with Love and respect.I salute all Vets of all our past and present wars, my hat is off too you. Scroll down and watch the documentary on the song, The 8th of November. It's about 10 minutes long.

I know who I'm gonna look up next year in Deadwood during Sturgis week.....

Just saw this, I am Joe and was in Nam 69-71 in a LRRP team and worked from Camau to Anh Khe and all in-between including Cambodia and wherever else.
I took it as job because I was born in a Communist country and knew the differences, I did my duty to America proudly, the best country I lived in, still is today because we still have the chance to fix problems.
I salute all of you and it is only sad that we are not public enough so as to teach the youth that there are better ways and solutions and there is no dishonor in serving.

Welcome home, brothers and sisters. Welcome home.

As a PGR member, and X-Marine 1969/1972,
I am proud to stand next to all different branches of the service to honor the returning soldiers and their loved ones. Rank and branch of service no longer matters as it did once a long time ago...
