1960's?? Montgomery Wards Airline Console Stereo

Is it worth anything?

It's model JWR 2030A with a production code of 8 25 7.

It works and even has the manuals.

Any clues? Any direction to find out about it?

Is it even worth putting it up considering it's HEAVY and will need to be picked up?

It is if you can find the right person. There are people for still want a turn table for their old records and hope they like that style furniture. But, that is the trick of ebay isn;t it???

I bought a Silvertone AM/FM stereo with turntable from Sears catalog in 1968 that had the same control panel as yours. Mine was a little narrower and only half as high.

They were probably made by the same company. I remember in '64 some of the Montgomery Wards radios were made by Magnavox. I have a '64 wood case table radio with a Montgomery Ward emblem and Magnavox on the front. My multiband radio from the 60s is marked MW Airline.

Is your radio marked Airline?

Thank you so much rlymp, heritherm and jediffor. Heritherm, you are right. That's why I both love and hate eBay. :smileyhappy:

Jedifor, it does have the Airline logo. It's hard to see considering my crappy camera, but it's just above the 5 verticle knobs in the second pic.

Thanks so much,

Da Frog.
