getting rid of a buying reminder

Hi, does anyone know how to get rid of a Buying Reminder?  I purchased an item from someone, and after I paid them, they realized that they didn't have the item in stock, so they refunded the money.  But they didn't cancel the item listing because it would penalize them.  And because of that, I still have this Buying Reminder that comes up...

EDIT: Even when I hide the item, it still shows an unpaid Buying Reminder when I log in...
