What a screwed up system

After ordering a camera battery, I've waited the entire six-weeks, and didn't receive the item.  But attempting to use the eBay menus and web pages to track it down or contact the seller is a nightmare.  They just keep circling back to the same  five or so pages.  Asking for detail, selecting the item, the kind of problem, then the same mess again.  Does eBay ever use this system?  It's a nightmare.
