Hello,
Bought and paid for a BIN auction for four car wheels (rims). $109, free shipping.
I emailed seller to ask about packaging a few hours later, and he said that I only bought one wheel.
The auction description clearly states 1 set of (4) wheels.
He said it was a mistake. He said the title said 'wheel' (among lots of other things), so the description didn't matter.
I waited, expecting him to cancel the auction and refund my money. Instead, I see that he shipped one 15 pound package, which is one wheel.
For perspective, there is another auction selling four of these wheels for $130 or best offer plus $125 shipping. So, it didn't scream mistake to me. Sometimes, people need to move product out.
Now, I'm going to receive one very overpriced wheel - when the description said 4 - and he has been made aware that is what it said well in advance of shipping.
Is it correct that I'll have to file a dispute, and then pay out of my pocket to ship the wheel back? What a hassle!
This is why, whenever possible, I shop on Amazon. No such nonsense there.
Thanks for your input .....
