Only you and the seller can see your ID and the sellers' ID...Noone else can see your ID....It's a Private Listing so noone can see who you are.

Someone else placed their bid and possibly a proxy bid which means someone else placed an amount, being the highest they'd be willing to pay (Proxy bid)......Ebay handles proxy bids.

ebay will outbid any bidder, on behalf of a proxy bidder.

You can use eby, as well. If you want eby to keep outbidding other bidders, place your highest bid amount that you'd be willing to pay.

However, sometimes, there are others who are willing to pay even more than we are......
