Is this some kind of scam?

Yesterday I bid on gas grill that had a really great price. After bidding I noticed that the seller had no previous sales and no other listings. Usually I check this info but didn't this time.  I looked some more and found the same grill listed 3 times by sellers with no previous sales and no other items for sale all at a price about half of retail. I started to get a bad feeling and began to hope someone would outbid me but nobody did. So I figured I'd pay with a credit card thru paypal and see what happens. Well, when I click on pay now I get a message saying " seller cannot accept payment at this time " and to contact the seller. I've got a really bad feeling about this and would like to just cancel the whole deal if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
