What's a flub? An inclusion is a flaw of some sort. In diamonds you'll sometimes see dark specks, i.e. carbon. As a basic rule of thumb, if the stone is competely flawless and perfect color you probably have a simulant.

Lab created stones do have inclusions much like natural stones. Synthetics usually don't have noticable inclusions.

Some synthetic rubies are very difficult to tell. They've been making synthetic rubies since the 1800's and the process copies mother nature very closely. I had a ruby that had to be put through three different tests to be sure it wasn't real. This was a very educated gemologist.

Show us a pictures. Most times we can tell right off the bat if real or not.

Synthetic gems (not simulants!) can be affordable substitutes for their natural counterparts, for many people. Especially so with emeralds, since a flawless one is exceedingly rare. If one exists at all. Fortunately growing gems in a lab also gives more durability to the stone than a type 2 or 3 (naturally heavily flawed) stone.

Is this real Ruby? My Gemoro Testerossa glowed pink when I tested it. It looks like there are color variations in the stones.
Thank you in advance. 😃
Kind regards,

Take it to a reputable jeweler and have it tested. Avoid mall jewelers, you get kids selling there the know nothing.
