Best I can think of is "threaded". I tried searching terms like that but didn't find anything like this. The bail and the chain is making me feel like it may be older but any insight on that as well is much appreciated.

The only jewelry book I have has magically disappeared and with my recent decision to return to school and what not, it's not exactly in my cards to invest in books (that aren't for school) at the moment. I really appreciate you taking the time to look that up for me.

As much Avon is out there..it is defintely worth having! Over the years Ithink I have handled practically every pc in there except for some of the big designer pcs. lol
