I found this at an antique dealer's yard sale the end of the last day. I just loved it from the second I saw it, and I want to rebead it, making a necklace and earrings. I am guessing it is cherry amber bakelite? would have to test, one big bead is chipped, but what I really like are the beads that go with it. I researched and didn't see any plastic, bakelite, or celluloid beads that looked like these, but they do look familiar, seem to be giving me an Asian feeling. Is there a name for the brown carved-like beads? Thanks for any help you can provide. 🙂
