Your situation sounds exactly like mine. Did you ever get a resolution?

For anyone that thinks that root canals are always from neglect I can assure you that is not the case. And to say that it is sounds very uneducated.
I got hit in the face by a abusive ex husband and damaged a tooth. Was sensitive for 7 years and just recently needed a RC.
I had a small cavity on a back tooth. The night before I was to have it filled I ended up hospitlized (at the age of 25) for multiple Pulmonary Emoli. Resulting from undignosed blood clotting (MTHFR and Factor V) disorders and birth control. So I was put on a Coumadin. Not able to get any dental work for a year. During that year that tooth got worse and by the time I could get it worked on it needed a RC Anyhow you should not make ASSumptions without knowing everyones story.

I had this problem a month after getting a root canal. I had a lot of pain that seemed to just get worse. Eating anything soft like bread, grapes or plums HURT. I made an appointment and the dentist argued me up and down that it was imposible for me to be in pain. Well, I insisted that they remove that tooth. During the procedure the dentist discovered that the tooth was broken and was poking my gums. I know whether or not if I'm in pain! Duh! I'm glad I insisted that they remove that tooth. Now another tooth that I had a root canal on 24 years ago has got to come out...once again I don't care what the dentist tells me....it has got to go!

I had my root canal and crown months ago and all was fine, but now all of the sudden it's killing me. I went back to the dentist and he said no infection so let's see if it goes away. Ouch!

Hi there
I thought and still think i am cracking up.
i have had a problem with a root canal for 2 years now.
i have had the same tooth done 3 times and i am still having problems.
I can handle the mild pain from the tooth/gum-its the other stuff that is driving me nuts.
Fatigue, joint pain sinus problems head aches and so on and on and on.
I have even had a Lymph node under my left armpit removed due to infection.
The specialist at the hospital seems to think that i am making this up.
I have never felt so unfit and normally i am a very active well bloke.
I am due to go back to hospital soon and i think a i am going to demand that he takes the too th out.

I have been having a problem since July of 2017 and had two root canals and am still in pain. My solution is I'm never ever having another root canal again ever. I have pain from my left eye to my left ear and my check on the left side is always redder than the other check. I believe the dental industry is not being honest about the safety of these root canals. I might see if I can find a holistic dentist and have the tooth I think is the problem removed and have a bridge put in instead. Now my doctor wants to put me on gabapentin a seizure medicine for pain. I am currently taking just tylenol though

I was thinking of pulling a problem tooth and getting a bridge. Maybe I should just pull it if bridges are a problem too. So sorry for your tooth problems. THese dentists make alot of money and act like everything is so fine when it's just a way for them to make big bucks. I am not getting anymore root canals ever or bridge either now

next time pull the tooth. These dentists are full of **bleep**! I've been in pain since July of 2017 and had two root canals and still in bad pain and they say everything looks fine.

yes it's easy to crack a tooth on popcorn or a bone and it has nothing to do with hi-gene. Teeth with large old filling can crack easily

oh yeah and they charge over $1000 right? I'd pull it and forget about it

I'm also wondering if I should have an oral surgeon remove my tooth I had the last root canal on in July of 2018. I'm in pain all the time I don't even want to talk with anyone anymore. My doctor thinks it's trigeminal neuralgia though but I think its the tooth. I get shooting pains in that tooth. Now my doctor wants me to take gabapentin a seizure medicine for pain which could have all kinds of side effects and I will need follow up blood tests to make sure it sint harming me. So I've been taking tylenol since August of 2017 and had two root canals and every year I'm in more and more pain. The oral surgeon, my dentist and the endodontist say everything looks fine on the exrays??!!

me too! I am ready to demand they take my tooth out that has been hurting since July of 2017. They get over $1000 for a root canal and it doesn't even work!
