Help with reading name on back of doll

Found this 9" wood girl at an estate sale recently.  She is clearly marked on the back, but I can't read it.  Does anybody recognize the name?  Thank you for looking.

Wayne - is the first name.

"Lucy" - perhaps the name of the doll.

That is what it looks like to me anyway.

Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth shattering kaboom!"

Google Hal Payne wooden dolls. I don't see your particular doll, but they do look similar.

Thank you!  I believe it is a Hal Payne doll.  Lots of research to do, which I love!  Thanks again.

Help with reading name on back of doll

I'm back.......

Did some fun reading about Hal Payne, who lives in Wallace Idaho which practically makes him my neighbor (I live in Spokane, WA) and I see that he is producing dolls in porcelain, wood and resin.  I thought for sure this was a wood doll, but know that resin is a very deceptive medium.  Do you think this doll is wood?  Is there a good test?  Thanks again.

Maybe it is the 25th out of a limited edition of 250? Just a thought.

Hi Wessleysbest,

Have you tried to email Hal Payne? I found a site that towards the bottom it has his email address. This site is for informational purposes only: http://wallace-id.com/Hal/Payne.html. If you scroll to the bottom of the article there is an email address.

Good Luck

Ellen
