Help me Id old doll "sandy"

I have a doll I've had since 1991. She's about 15 inches all cloth. She has the name sandy embroidered on a pink dress with plaid trimmings. No hair but has a pink sewn on bonnet with a painted on face. I'm pretty sure I had a friend that had an african american one in a purple dress otherwise exactly the same. I'm not trying to sell, just wanted any info about her, company that made her etc.

Can you post a pic of her? I've been looking for that same doll for my daughter.

There was a mail order company that sold those type of dolls back then.  The name escapes me at the moment, but you would order those types of dolls and have the child's name embroidered on the apron or dress.

Without a pic, it's hard to tell, but I don't think it's a Holly Hobbie doll.
