Elaborate tourist Dolls from greece. Kind of early ones, with great beadwork I love these, some people think they are kind of corny, but I always loved them.

that Kestner is stunning. Amazing eyes. She looks big…how big is that doll?
this is a strange and kind of wonderful old Paper Mache I just got.
in her original dress and unders (great petticoat and pettipants) , body is a heavily gesso course cloth. Great compo boots!!, the ones with the red stripes at the top, I call them Elphaba Boots.
I put this mohair wig on her, her original hair was all eaten away by moths..
The original hair was held to her head by a strip of ribbon secured with tiny nails. The tiny amount that remained appeared to be yellow dyed mohair.
I left that all there under her wig.
I think this is an early P.W. doll.
The kid who sold it seemed scared of it…. 😉
