Oh yeah!

I had never heard of him, so I looked at every piece of work of his I could find -- especially those on his own website -- and all I can say is: It certainly looks like something he would do. You may have a winner!
You could be so bold as to simply contact him:

This piece, called DAILY SERVING is one great piece of socio-political commentary, I must say.

Thanks, I think I found the piece mine is derived from; it's a smiley Kool Aid issued pitcher with a smiley face spoon coming out the top (instead of a crowbar). See if I can find it again.
He did other pieces where he would use a router, like was done for the eyes and mouth.

I'll ask him.

Just heard back. It's by him; he did two of these and it's actually carved wood with an (epoxy? paint) which makes it look a bit cast. So, I have 1 of 2. Now to figure out value.
Thanks Maxine for prompting me to write him.

How cool! So exciting. Kudos to Maxine.

Terrific!
I should think the monetary value is substantial, too.

Trying to figure that out. If there are only 2 in the whole world... he didn't say they were identical, only that he did only 2. A bit like a sculptural monotype. Looking over his art and it really is great.

Got another email from him, he says they are early pieces done for a benefit.

Thanks for the update. Wonderful find. Significant artist. And, it turns out, a significant artist with a generous nature.
Of course, I loved him from the moment I read this comment of his: "Since Lee Krasner was married to that drunken crybaby Pollock, she never got her due."

Thanks. Yes, I've had a few emails with him over this and he is a sincere and interesting person. He gave me a gallery lead to get more info on the piece.
Pollack, isn't he the one who couldn't drive?

That's cold! Cold, and funny, and apt...
