ID stone

Hello, Can someone please tell me if this stone is opal? NOTE: I took one photo with flash and one without! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! David.

Exactly.  And it looks like there are areas of the "blue light" on this stone.  Anyhow, OP should be able to confirm the ID by turing the stone this way and that in the light.  Labradorite is pretty stuff.

Looks like some sort of feldspar mineral.  Best guess: Labradorite.

I agree.  Labradorite.

Labradorite has a very unusual optical property specific to that stone, called labradorescence; not the same as iridescence, though similar.
