Do they have any markings? Look to me like Russian souvenir nesting dolls called Matrioshka  Матрёшка.  I'll say they are fairly recent, some of them are quite expensive. Try to check out some Russian souvenir sites, you may find some very similar if not identical.

These are supposed to be Russian nesting dolls. Usually they either have an artist initials or  a paper sticker (sometimes there is a residual of it or glue mark, at least) on the bottom of the largest doll. There are also Chinese copies being sold. Chinese dolls are of lower quality and sometimes you can tell the difference judging just by the style of design. In my opinion, your doll is Russian.
