Hate the discussion board format? Wish there was a place to have a running chat like in the old ebay chat rooms that they took away?
Here is the solution, one thread devoted to chatting about anything and everything about coins all in the same place.
Post whatever is on your mind. There is no official topic here. So let's get the chatting started.

Happy Friday Everyone,
Looks like a nice coin Amy. Is it a buffalo nickel? I couldn't get the attachment to open so I could see it better. I can't even make out the date?
I got taxes back yesterday so I'm hoping to have a little left for coin shopping after all the bills get caught up.

Hi Jody. That's a good question to ask of a really vague question. I wasn't impressed with the frog though. Must be an aquired taste?
And Amy, I see you have already been harassed about your coin picture so you can ignore my pokes..................:^O

There are two No Motto double eagles, those struck before 1866, that is, before the motto "In God We Trust" was added to gold coins, and those struck from 1907 to 1908 that didn't have "In God We Trust" because Teddy Roosevelt didn't approve of those words on a coin that might be spent for profane activities.
When Congress overruled him, he bowed to its will.
Generally, though, No Motto refers to the earlier issues.
