Did you mean:

--THE NEW COIN CHAT ROOM--

Hate the discussion board format? Wish there was a place to have a running chat like in the old ebay chat rooms that they took away?

Here is the solution, one thread devoted to chatting about anything and everything about coins all in the same place.

Post whatever is on your mind. There is no official topic here. So let's get the chatting started.

LOL.  I copied the message before it poofed.  Did Sean answer your question?  You can't just tease someone and walk away.  Girls get a reputation for that sort of thing!

Re: --THE NEW COIN CHAT ROOM--

Yes, that is true!  Speaking as a former USCG morse code radioman 1st class, Heron can

say that Morse code is merely a method of radio communications and is not a secure method

unless what we send and receive is further coded.  Heron experienced many mid watches

at sea when we would receive messages from HQ and the radio operators never knew one thing

about the message.  Messages of perhaps 400 or 500 number groups of 5 numbers.

Then the comm officer had to spend hours decoding the message.  Somewhat boring for

the radiomen listening and typing 400 or 500 5 number groups, but being in a nice, warm

radio shack during a rain storm or snow storm was a decent payback for the boring stuff. Regards.

Re: --THE NEW COIN CHAT ROOM--

Hola Koindog, muchas gracias!  Heron did not know that one.

When Heron was a Morse code man 'the end' was dit dah - dit dah dit. AR.

'end of msg'.

Over the decades things change.  Morse was ended in the USCG about 1995.  Hard to

believe it has been 20 years now.  Think about the changes in communications that have

happened just since 1957!  Amazing!  Regardvs,

xx
